From the moment we arrived in Kathmandu wide-eyed and with a child-like wonder, Nepal owned our attention. It captured our hearts and imbued our souls.
There’s not many other places we can describe as intoxicating, amazing and occasionally exhausting all in the same sentence!
As we spent four weeks in Nepal, we floundered through the bustling streets of Kathmandu. Explored the back-alleys full of hidden temples, old courtyards and shrines. We navigated medieval towns and lay our head at hill-top villages. We were enthralled by Newari traditions and the devout regimes of friendly locals.
As the mountains called to us, we hiked form one tea house to the next. The hum of trekking songs rang out across the peaks, prayer flags danced in the wind. Our boots well-worn in, our bellies full of dal bhat, we were surrounded by the most incredible, pupil-dilating views – views from the roof-top of the world.
