We use Booking.com regularly and think they are great. They have over 28 million property listings worldwide including hotels, B&B’s, guest houses and apartments. They also have a fantastic customer service team that’s available 24 hours a day 7 days a week. One of the best things about Expedia is the ability to put together your own packages including flight and hotel deals, we also like the fact you get the prices payable in local currency, avoiding any additional transaction fees.

Agoda is another website we frequently use. We use it mainly when we travel around Asia as we find the searches return more properties than any other booking website in that part of the world. Agoda has a network of over 2 million properties worldwide ranging from hostels and hotels to homes and apartments.

Airbnb is our preferred choice for longer stays and home or apartment style rentals, also most of the listings tend to offer higher discounts for weekly and monthly stays. Airbnb has over 4 million listings across 191 countries ranging from villas, apartments and entire homes to just renting a private room in someones house — perfect for that home away from home feeling!

Skyscanner is a great website for finding cheap flights and we especially love the search everywhere feature which allows us to find cheap and cool places to fly to. Skyscanner has a user friendly interface and a great smartphone app which acts as a 4 in 1 booking site, it including flight, hotel and train bookings as well as car hire.

Momondo is another great comparison website, we find that it consistantly brings up the lowest airfares and covers more of the low-cost airlines and smaller flight operators.

Kayak is another great website we use to compare flight prices. It’s a good website for booking flight and hotel packages and the map feature makes it easy to find cheap destinations to fly to.

We also use Google Flights to book certain flights as they have detailed filters for searches, for example you can choose to exclude certain airlines or connecting airports from results.
