We spent 2 weeks travelling around the Dolomites during Autumn, and were blown away by the variety of landscapes and sheer natural beauty of the area. Flying into Bergamo Airport we picked up our rental car and headed to Val Gardena where we spent the first portion of our trip, using Ortisei as a base. For the second part of our trip we based ourselves around Cortina, visiting the eastern part of the Dolomites.
Iceland is one of the most incredible destinations we have ever been to. We were blown away by all the best things to do in Iceland. It’s certainly a place that won’t leave you bored! The landscapes in Iceland change dramatically as you drive around the ring road and there is no doubt you will be constantly stopping to take yet another photo. Rainbows appear out of nowhere and then vanish minutes later, a burst of sunshine will peak out a cloud casting a glorious glow over the land and the photogenic Icelandic horses never fail to draw you in.
Just two hours into a relatively easy hike and we were stood on top of one of Madeira’s mountain peaks. We were surrounded by a view that one could usually only get from a small, cabin window of a Boeing 737.

It’s no surprise that Japan’s our favourite country – having had multiple trips there already and still wanting to go back for more. Seriously though, what’s not to love, amazing food, unique history and architecture, technological marvels and iconic landscapes – Mt. Fuji I’m looking at you!
It’s funny how one of the harshest places on earth can also be one of the most amazing to photograph, and with each season offering up distinct natural wonders it will surely leave the keen photographer yearning for more!
I can remember our first trip to China like it was yesterday! It was a long flight, followed by nightmarish negotiations at a bus terminal (we spoke very little Mandarin), and an even longer bus journey.
After spending 7 nights in the bustling tourist hub of Yangshuo, arriving in Xingping came as a breath of fresh air – having smaller crowds and way fewer touts!
Despite the droves of day tours that frequent the area, the ancient town still retains much of its charm, and the surrounding backdrop of the Li River, and towering limestone karsts look like something straight out of a fairy-tale.
As much as we enjoy visiting Japan during the cherry blossom season, for us the fall is even more magical as the Koyo brings such vibrant and vivid colours to Japan’s landscapes.
